In 1986 Nancy Halgren Collinge (NHC) left Cal Surance Associates to start her own agency. Renting a single room in a friend's small office, this fledgling business began with one used desk, one battered file cabinet and a vision. Nancy fervently believed that it was possible to provide clients with highly skilled risk management combined with sincere and personal customer service at a competitive price.
In 1988, NHC enjoyed the addition of an excellent Commercial Insurance agent and manager. Our team's drive helped propel NHC to the next level. Within the year, NHC had taken over the lease of the entire small office! |
Quickly outgrowing their Torrance office, NHC took over most of the first floor of the building next door in 1992. Short of converting this office to "bunk desks", NHC bought a beautifully restored office building in San Pedro and relocated in 2002.

| A defining aspect of the NHC spirit is found in the tight-knit environment. Not merely co-workers, these people are a family. We believe that a happy team is a productive team. To that end the entire NHC staff is treated to yearly trips, monthly birthday lunches, a family and friends picnic, and a huge Holiday Open House at the end of the year. |
