Jessica began her career with NHC in 2001 as a worker's compensation customer service assistant. She quickly obtained her Fire & Casualty Broker license in 2002 and is now in the process of obtaining her CIC designation, a very prestigious landmark! She loves constantly learning new things and in the field of insurance she has many opportunities to do so since the laws and insurance company guidelines are ever changing.
In 2005, Jessica was promoted to Commercial Lines Manager and has since been securing insurance coverages for our new and existing commercial clients. She enjoys passing on the knowledge she has learned to our customers. She knows they appreciate being well informed and feels that this knowledge coupled with our personal service is what keeps the relationship strong and long-term.
Jessica, as part of NHC, is a member of the San Pedro, Palos Verdes, and Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Toberman Auxiliary which is a non-profit organization which provides various social service programs to low income individuals and families living in the South Bay, moving them from poverty to self-sufficiency. Newly married on 07/07/07, she enjoys laughing and having fun with her loving husband, Lawrence, as they build their life together!

Julia started out at NHC in the fall of 1995 as a receptionist
after her daughter Megan started school. Julia's dedication
and extra effort allowed her to work her way from receptionist/office
assistant up to Personal Lines Customer Service Rep. to her
present position of Personal Lines Manager.
Earning her insurance license when she was promoted to CSR,
Julia has since received her CISR designation in 1999 and received her CIC designation
in 2007. Always wanting to know more, Julia will
continue her insurance education adding to her considerable knowledge.
Julia truly enjoys alleviating her client's insurance headaches,
reducing their stress and making them rest easier when coverages
are a concern. Julia says, "When somebody says "Thank
You", I know they mean it and it makes me smile. I couldn't
imagine doing any other job."
An avid sports fan, Julia has been a huge supporter of the
Denver Broncos since 1988. She also enjoys Nascar and
yes, even golf "You gotta love Phil Mickelson!" Spending time with her two kids is what she loves the most!

Leana just celebrated 5 years at NHC on January 5, 2009. She obtained her license back in the beginning of 2008 and has been working in the commercial lines division as a customer service representative. She enjoys helping the insured's in any way she can. Leana is looking forward to furthering her education as well.
Leana enjoys karaoke and is an avid Lakers fan. You can usually find her making jokes with people and trying to put a smile on someone's face.

Patty came to NHC on Valentine's Day 2002. How sweet!!! She got her Insurance License in 2004, at which time she moved into the Personal Lines Dept.
She now assists the team in Personal Lines with all types of changes, quotes and is also the claims specialist. She is bilingual, which helps many Spanish speaking clients understand their coverages. Patty's work is appreciated by so many that she is our "Queen of Kudos"! Check out our Kudos section to read what our clients are saying about Patty and the rest of our staff.
Happily married since 1997 to her prince charming! She loves to cook and entertain family and friends. What free time she has, they enjoy going quad riding with friends.

Renee Ruan, Personal Lines

Renee started out at NHC as a part time file clerk in early
1998. Quickly proving herself valuable, Renee was asked to
go full time as Receptionist/Office Assistant two months later.
She received her Agent's license four months later and began
sales and service in the Personal Lines department. Renee
received her CISR designation in 2000 and has since worked
her way up to Account Manager of Personal Lines.
Renee enjoys taking care of NHC's existing clients as well
as selling new business. She loves to explain to clients how
important it is to be properly insured. She also finds that
customers are very appreciative of the time and care NHC takes
in providing these services. She is a SUPER salesman and writes the most new business at NHC every month! She wants to be an Executive Vice President of NHC someday! Wow!!
Renee spends her free time with her husband, kids, family and friedns at The Dunes with the quads or on the Lake.

Sandy Acosta, Accounting Manager, HR Manager & Onsite IT Guru

Sandy joined NHC in February 2006 and has since put the agency on an efficiency track. She has trained the staff to more fully utilize our computer capabilities and she has seen to it that all accounting functions are effectively recorded and reported.
Sandy is currently trying to cope with "my babies are getting older and leaving home" syndrome. When she can, she and her family and friends go camping.

 Sunshine has been with NHC for more than 6 years. She enjoys working in the Commercial Department and is always eager to learn more.
Always hungry for more knowledge she is currently taking classes to further her education. She truly has a "Sunny" disposition- of her work at NHC. Sunshine says "I love my job because every day is a new experience."
Sunshine's free time is spent with her husband Rick daughters Sarah and Ricki and her son Richard. They love to go riding in the desert and hanging out with their family and friends.
