Jessica started at NHC in 2001. Before NHC, she worked for
an executive recruiting firm in administration. Looking for
something more challenging and with room for advancement,
Jessica jumped at the opportunity to work at NHC. Starting
out as a workers' compensation assistant, Jessica quickly
moved up to workers' compensation specialist and then, after
obtaining her agent's license, moved up to a full-fledged
Commercial Insurance Producer.
Jessica loves constantly learning new things - and in the
field of insurance she has many opportunities to do so since
laws and company guidelines are constantly changing. Although
at times it may get hectic Jessica finds it is always interesting.
She enjoys taking classes to further her Insurance knowledge
believing that the more she knows the better able she is at
keeping our clients well informed. She is currently working
on obtaining her CIC designation, a very prestigious landmark.
She also enjoys get togethers with friends and family at the
lake or river or even just a barbeque on a nice sunny day. Newly married on 7/7/07, Jessica enjoys having fun with her husband Lawrence as they build their life together.

Julia started out at NHC in the fall of 1995 as a receptionist
after her daughter Megan started school. Julia's dedication
and extra effort allowed her to work her way from receptionist/office
assistant up to Personal Lines Customer Service Rep. to her
present position of Personal Lines Manager.
Earning her insurance license when she was promoted to CSR,
Julia has since received her CISR designation in 1999 and received her CIC designation
in 2007. Always wanting to know more, Julia will
continue her insurance education adding to her considerable knowledge.
Julia truly enjoys alleviating her client's insurance headaches,
reducing their stress and making them rest easier when coverages
are a concern. Julia says, "When somebody says "Thank
You", I know they mean it and it makes me smile. I couldn't
imagine doing any other job."
An avid sports fan, Julia has been a huge supporter of the
Denver Bronco for over 13 years. She also enjoys Nascar and
yes, even golf "You gotta love Phil Mickelson!"

Leana Wedlock, Commercial CSR

Leana moved back to California from Arizona in January of 2004
to be Nancy's Personal Assistant. A quick learner, her duties
were soon expanded to include assisting the commercial lines department.
She enjoys the challenge of assisting a very busy executive
and also loves being a part of the commercial lines team. Leana is the NHC expert on Certificates of Insurance and assists our clients many times daily with special cert. wording.
Returning to So Cal allows Leana to enjoy spending more time
with her California family - Brother, Sister, Nieces, Nephews,
Aunts and Cousins - and to pursue her avid Karaoke hobby. Leana brightens the office daily with her infectious laugh, her love of a good joke and her upbeat personality.

Patty Alvarez, Personal Lines

Patty came to NHC as an all around assistant on Valentine's
Day 2002 to help NHC in the move from Torrance to San Pedro.
After working as the receptionist and all around helper, she
received her agent's license in 2004 and moved from the front
office to customer service representative for the Personal
Lines Deptartment. Patty is also the Claims Specialist for
the Personal Lines Department. Patty truly loves what she
does, enjoys helping clients and likes to see them happy. Her fluent Spanish helps NHC's many spanish-speaking clients more easily understand their coverages.
Happily married since 1997, Patty enjoys cooking and entertaining
family and friends. She loves trying out different recipes
and is looking forward to taking cooking classes to become
an expert in the kitchen.

The newest member of the NHC Team, Pat C. keeps all the wheels oiled...phones, files and follow-ups, plus audits, certificates, mail and more! Pat C. looks forward to obtaining her insurance license so she can assist more in production.
Pat spends many fun hours with her husband and lots of famiy and friends who fortunately live close by.

Renee Monroy, Personal Lines

Renee started out at NHC as a part time file clerk in early
1998. Quickly proving herself valuable, Renee was asked to
go full time as Receptionist/Office Assistant two months later.
She received her Agent's license four months later and began
sales and service in the Personal Lines department. Renee
received her CISR designation in 2000 and has since worked
her way up to Assistant Manager of Personal Lines.
Renee enjoys taking care of NHC's existing clients as well
as selling new business. She loves to explain to clients how
important it is to be properly insured. She also finds that
customers are very appreciative of the time and care NHC takes
in providing these services.
Renee spends her free time with new husband and two kids and friends and enjoys
taking camping trips, going out riding in the dunes and little getaways when she gets a chance.

Sandy Acosta, Accounting Manager, HR Manager & Onsite IT Guru

Sandy joined NHC in February 2006 and has since put the agency on an efficiency track. She has trained the staff to more fully utilize our computer capabilities and she has seen to it that all accounting functions are effectively recorded and reported.
Sandy is currently trying to cope with "my babies are getting older and leaving home" syndrome. When she can, she and her family and friends go camping.

Sunshine Justiniano, Commercial

Sunshine began her career
in February of 2003. Starting out as a receptionist, Sunshine
rapidly moved up to personal lines Customer Service Representative,
on to Commercial CSR and after receiving her Agent's license,
a full-fledged Commercial Agent! Now her forte is Workers Comp, so everything you need to know about W/C, you can ask Sunshine! Also, she is rapidly becoming an expert in small business packages.
Always hungry for more knowledge, she is currently taking
classes to further her education. She truly has a “sunny”
disposition - of her work at NHC, Sunshine says “I love
my job because every day is a new experience.”
Sunshine’s free time is spent with her beloved family;
husband Rick and daughters Sarah and Ricki. They are looking forward to the birth of their new baby boy in December 2007!
